Fractional Executive Assistant — Remote $20–$24/hour | Independent Contractor | Fully Remote
Flexible, part-time engagements typically 5–25 hours/week
About the Role
We provide fractional executive support to founders, executive directors, and senior leaders, with a strong concentration in nonprofits, healthcare, and professional services. You’ll support one or more assigned executives in long-term, fractional engagements, typically 6+ months. Hours vary by client, and additional engagements may be available based on fit and availability. This is flexible, fully remote work, but our clients rely on consistent support. You’ll need to maintain agreed-upon availability, attend scheduled meetings when required, and reliably own deadlines and priorities. We’re looking for EAs who operate a step ahead. You see the conflict two weeks out, the prep that hasn’t been started, or the follow-up that’s about to be dropped — and handle it before the executive has to ask. If you’re most comfortable working from a task list someone else builds, this isn’t the right fit.
What You’ll Do
- Manage complex calendars, scheduling, and competing priorities
- Triage inboxes, draft correspondence, and manage follow-up
- Coordinate travel, expenses, meetings, and action items
- Support board, donor, and stakeholder meetings and materials
- Maintain light systems and process documentation
- Serve as a professional liaison with internal and external stakeholders
What You Bring
- 3+ years supporting senior executives
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with excellent follow-through
- Strong written communication and professional judgment
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
- Board liaison experience strongly preferred
- Nonprofit, healthcare, or professional services experience is a plus
- Fluency in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Ability to work independently and communicate proactively
- Reliable equipment, internet, and professional workspace
This is an independent contractor opportunity. Hours are not guaranteed across engagements. Strong performance may lead to extended engagements, increased hours, or additional client assignments. Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
