Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Fractional Automatic Gate & Access Control Manager to lead and oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Automation and Access Control Division.
Compensation will be hourly consultation and P&L participation.
This role is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of automated gate systems, access control solutions, and integrated security infrastructure across customer sites in Northern Nevada. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for delivering reliable security solutions. As a fractional manager, you will bring your expertise to various projects, ensuring high standards of safety, security, and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Remotely review field activities of installation, configuration, and commissioning of automatic gate systems, access control hardware, CCTV surveillance, sensors, and related security equipment.
- Remotely review routine preventative maintenance and urgent troubleshooting on electrical security systems, low-voltage wiring, and computer hardware components.
- Provide assistance when needed to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately install and troubleshoot complex security infrastructure.
- Review and assist in gate automation and access control system designs.
- Review written estimates and proposals for quality control.
- Provide professional consultation on processes, forms and agreements.
- Help refine best practices for field staff.
- Participate in final interviews of new hires.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; recommend tailored solutions including alarm system sales and integration of door security systems.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, system configurations, and service reports while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for electrical safety.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in field service operations involving electrical security systems.
- Proficiency in computer networking, remote access software, CCTV surveillance systems, alarm & access control systems integration.
- Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems including wiring practices, schematics interpretation, and blueprint reading.
- Expertise in equipment troubleshooting across diverse platforms such as sensors, IDS devices, fire alarms, telecommunication lines, and surveillance hardware.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately; familiarity with NEC standards for electrical installations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients.
- Experience in electrical security system installation involving low-voltage wiring and cabling techniques.
- Background in service technician roles within the security or telecommunications industries is highly preferred.

Compensation
$30.00 – $50.00 per hour
