Full job description
Established and growing neurology private practice in El Paso is seeking an experienced Fractional or Interim Practice Manager to step in, assess operations, stabilize and optimize the business, and build systems that run smoothly with or without the owner present.
This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for a seasoned practice manager or administrator who has successfully turned around or scaled private practices before.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a full 30-60 day diagnostic of the practice (financials, staffing, scheduling, marketing, patient flow, billing/collections, compliance)
- Identify and fix profit leaks, overhead issues, and operational bottlenecks
- Restructure front desk, scheduling, and billing processes for maximum efficiency and collections
- Hire, train, and restructure team as needed (or coach existing team to perform)
- Implement or improve KPIs, daily huddles, and accountability systems
- Renegotiate vendor contracts and reduce expenses where possible
- Improve patient acquisition, retention, and case acceptance
- Create standard operating procedures and transition plan so the practice runs profitably long-term
- Work closely with owner/doctor on strategic decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years successfully running or turning around a private medical, dental, chiropractic, veterinary, or specialty practice
- Proven track record of increasing profitability and collections (references required)
- Strong financial acumen – comfortable reading P&L statements and improving key metrics
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Experience implementing EHR/PM systems a plus
- Available to start within 2-4 weeks
- Ability to be on-site in El Paso at least 2-3 days per week initially
Compensation
Competitive project-based or monthly retainer. Performance bonuses tied to collection increases and cost reductions possible.
Pay: $109,624.77 – $132,021.23 per year
