About the Role
We’re hiring a CFO to support accounting operations across several clients. This is a client-facing role within Cherry Hill Advisory’s CFO practice. You’ll manage the close, review reporting, coordinate with bookkeepers, and help tighten processes for inventory, COGS, and cash flow. If you’ve worked in consumer products and know how to keep books clean, timely, and useful, you’ll hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Review and finalize monthly financial statements and reporting packages
- Analyze contribution margins and highlight trends and variances
- Maintain a tight and timely month-end close in line with GAAP
- Coordinate with tax and audit providers as needed
Operational Accounting & Systems
- Manage QBO workflows and chart of accounts integrity
- Oversee inventory accounting and cost flows
- Maintain key reconciliations and monthly schedules
- Assist with AP/AR oversight and short-term cash flow planning
Team & Vendor Oversight
- Manage and review work from external bookkeepers
- Improve documentation, policies, and workflows
- Provide clear direction to bookkeeping teams and junior staff
- Work closely with the Cherry Hill CFO team and client leadership
Qualifications
- CPA preferred (or international equivalent)
- E-commerce experience is mandatory ($25M+ in revenue)
- 5+ years of accounting experience with CFO responsibilities
- Direct experience with QuickBooks Online and product-based businesses
- Strong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and ecommerce operations
- Confident reviewing work prepared by outsourced teams
- Excel-savvy and comfortable analyzing financial data
- Clear written communicator with high attention to detail
