We are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial Fractional Chief Marketing Officer to lead the development and coordination of our marketing efforts across all three divisions.

Position Overview

The Fractional CMO will work directly with company ownership to develop and manage an integrated marketing strategy that generates qualified leads, increases brand awareness, and supports revenue growth.

This is a leadership and strategy position rather than a traditional content creation role. The successful candidate will direct marketing priorities, coordinate with existing content creators and contractors, leverage automation and AI, and establish measurable systems for marketing accountability.

We are looking for someone who can accomplish meaningful results with limited time and resources.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

• Develop an overarching marketing strategy aligned with Won Strategy’s business objectives.
• Establish distinct marketing plans, customer profiles, and messaging for W.T.H., Consulting, and M&A+.
• Create quarterly marketing priorities and monthly campaign calendars.
• Work directly with company ownership to align marketing initiatives with business development and revenue goals.

Lead Generation & Business Development

• Design marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads for each business division.
• Develop targeted outreach strategies for business owners, schools, government agencies, and professional referral partners.
• Improve lead capture, follow-up, and conversion processes.
• Collaborate with leadership to strengthen service offerings, promotional messaging, and calls to action.

Marketing Team & Brand Management

• Provide strategic direction to existing content creators and marketing contractors.
• Ensure consistent application of Won Strategy’s brand standards.
• Oversee marketing messaging across websites, email, social media, digital advertising, and promotional materials.
• Identify opportunities for testimonials, case studies, referrals, and cross-promotion between business divisions.

Technology, Automation & AI

• Identify and implement AI-enabled marketing tools that increase productivity and reduce administrative workload.
• Work with existing systems, including HubSpot, to improve lead management and marketing workflows.
• Develop repeatable marketing processes that can scale as the company grows.

Performance & Accountability

• Establish marketing KPIs for lead generation, conversion rates, campaign effectiveness, and marketing-generated revenue.
• Develop a concise monthly marketing performance dashboard.
• Provide monthly updates and recommendations to company ownership.
• Recommend adjustments to marketing investments based on measurable performance.

First 90 Days

• Month 1 — Assess & Prioritize
• Review existing marketing activities, brand positioning, websites, lead sources, CRM systems, and promotional materials. Identify the highest-value marketing opportunities across the three divisions.
• Month 2 — Develop & Organize
• Deliver a coordinated marketing strategy with distinct customer profiles, marketing priorities, campaign calendars, and measurable KPIs for each division.
• Month 3 — Launch & Measure
• Launch or optimize targeted lead-generation initiatives, establish consistent reporting, and create a sustainable marketing management process.

Qualifications

Required

• Demonstrated experience developing and managing marketing strategies.
• Experience with B2B lead generation and digital marketing.
• Ability to translate marketing strategy into practical, measurable action plans.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience working with CRM platforms and marketing automation.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Preferred

• Previous experience as a CMO, VP of Marketing, Marketing Director, or fractional marketing leader.
• Experience marketing consulting, professional services, education, workforce development, or business brokerage services.
• Experience with HubSpot, Google Analytics, AI marketing tools, and marketing automation.
• Experience directing content creators, freelancers, or outside marketing vendors.
• Familiarity with small-business growth strategies and entrepreneurial organizations.

Compensation & Engagement

• Monthly Compensation: $2,000 fixed retainer
• Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week
• Employment Structure: Independent contractor, subject to applicable worker-classification requirements
• Initial Term: 6 months
• Performance Review: After 90 days
• Growth Opportunity: Potential to expand responsibilities, hours, and compensation based on company needs and demonstrated results.
