Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Sales Executive with a strong background in healthcare benefits, specialty pharmacy, PBM, benefits brokerage, or the self-funded employer market.
This is a senior business development/hunter role for a well-connected sales professional who already has relationships within the employer benefits ecosystem and can leverage those relationships to generate new business.
The company provides specialty pharmacy and pharmacy cost-containment solutions designed to help self-funded employers reduce pharmacy spend while offering a flexible alternative to traditional PBM arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities with self-funded employers and employer benefit advisors.
- Leverage existing relationships with benefits brokers, consultants, TPAs, CFOs, CHROs and Benefits leaders.
- Develop and manage a qualified sales pipeline from prospecting through close.
- Introduce and explain pharmacy cost-containment and specialty drug solutions to prospective clients.
- Build strategic relationships with brokers and consultants who can serve as referral and distribution partners.
- Conduct consultative sales conversations focused on employer savings and plan economics.
- Work independently and manage your own pipeline, outreach and business development activities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales/business development experience in one or more of the following:
- Specialty Pharmacy
- PBM
- Healthcare Benefits
- Benefits Brokerage/Consulting
- TPA
- Stop-Loss/Reinsurance
- Self-funded employer solutions
- Proven track record of new business development and revenue generation.
- Existing relationships with benefits brokers, consultants, TPAs, self-funded employers or senior benefits decision-makers.
- Experience selling pharmacy cost containment, specialty drug solutions, PBM alternatives, carve-outs or related healthcare solutions.
- Strong understanding of the self-funded employer benefits market.
- Excellent relationship-building, consultative selling and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fractional environment.
- Experience with employer groups of 1,000–20,000 covered lives is highly desirable.

- Fractional / 1099 contract
