Role Description
The Fractional CFO role is a part-time, project-based leadership position, and it is a remote role. The Fractional CFO will oversee financial planning and analysis, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide strategic recommendations to executive teams and boards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, assessing financial performance, and preparing clear financial reports and presentations. The role also involves improving financial processes, advising on capital allocation, supporting fundraising or financing efforts, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies. The Fractional CFO will collaborate with internal finance teams or external accounting partners to maintain accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in corporate finance, cash flow management, and capital planning.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and long-term financial strategy.
- Hands-on experience with Financial Statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Expertise in Financial Reporting, management reporting, and presenting complex data to senior leadership and boards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and translate insights into actions.
- Proven experience in a senior finance or CFO role, preferably across multiple companies or industries.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and advisory skills, with the ability to influence non-financial leaders.
- Comfort working remotely, managing multiple clients or projects, and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, or CFA is highly beneficial.
